Before Installation Day
A little preparation ensures a smooth installation.
General Preparation
- Clear the work areas — Move furniture and valuables away from walls, ceilings, closets, and wherever we will be working
- Ensure access — Make sure all rooms are unlocked and accessible, including basements, attics, and garages
- Plan for dust and noise — We will use drop cloths and clean up, but drilling and cabling can be dusty
- Secure pets — Please keep pets in a separate area during installation
Network Installations
- Have your ISP account information available
- Schedule new service activation before our installation date if switching ISPs
- Let us know where your current modem and router are located
AV and Home Theater
- Decide on TV and speaker placements before installation day
- If wall-mounting a TV, let us know the desired height and location
- Have streaming service logins ready (Netflix, Hulu, etc.)
Smart Home / Control4
- Think about which rooms you want controlled
- Consider where you want touchscreens placed
- Have your Wi-Fi password available
Day of Installation
- A decision-maker should be available (or reachable) throughout the day
- Our installers will walk you through the system before they leave
- Ask questions — we want you to be comfortable using everything we install
