Smart Home Automation

What Are Scenes?

Scenes are preconfigured automations that control multiple devices with a single command. For example, a "Movie Night" scene might dim the lights, lower the shades, turn on the projector, and set the receiver to the right input — all with one button press.

Using Scenes

You can trigger scenes in several ways:
  • Control4 app — Tap the scene icon on your dashboard
  • Control4 remote — Press the programmed button
  • Keypad — Press the button assigned to the scene (often with a custom engraved label)
  • Touchscreen — Tap the scene on your wall-mounted Control4 touchscreen

Common Built-In Scenes

  • Good Morning — Turns on lights, raises shades, adjusts thermostat
  • Good Night — Turns off all lights, locks doors, arms security, lowers shades
  • Movie Night — Dims lights, lowers shades, turns on theater
  • Away — Turns off all AV, arms security, sets thermostat to away mode
  • Entertaining — Sets lighting to a preset level, starts music in common areas

Requesting Changes to Your Scenes

  • Adding or removing devices from an existing scene
  • Changing light levels or which rooms are affected
  • Creating new scenes for specific activities
  • Setting scenes to trigger automatically at certain times
Contact us with your request and we can update your programming remotely in most cases.
