What Are Scenes?
Scenes are preconfigured automations that control multiple devices with a single command. For example, a "Movie Night" scene might dim the lights, lower the shades, turn on the projector, and set the receiver to the right input — all with one button press.
Using Scenes
You can trigger scenes in several ways:
- Control4 app — Tap the scene icon on your dashboard
- Control4 remote — Press the programmed button
- Keypad — Press the button assigned to the scene (often with a custom engraved label)
- Touchscreen — Tap the scene on your wall-mounted Control4 touchscreen
Common Built-In Scenes
- Good Morning — Turns on lights, raises shades, adjusts thermostat
- Good Night — Turns off all lights, locks doors, arms security, lowers shades
- Movie Night — Dims lights, lowers shades, turns on theater
- Away — Turns off all AV, arms security, sets thermostat to away mode
- Entertaining — Sets lighting to a preset level, starts music in common areas
