Top Floor Executive Boardroom
Featuring Automation and Projection
About This Project
For this boardroom technology upgrade, the client wanted greater functionality and ease of use, but they also wanted to maintain a sleek aesthetic, without too much in the way of visible equipment. Where we might typically mount a projector on the ceiling mid-room, here we used a projector that is designed to go behind the screen itself. To utilize a few of the components the customer already had, we installed a new 113" roller screen into the existing screen casing, and we put in a new quiet drive motor to go along with it.
To further keep the conference room free from clutter, we added two new table inputs with device adaptors. These new laptop connectors are retractable when not in use for a clean appearance. The only devices that live on the conference table are the new 10" touchscreen control panel and two new tabletop boundary microphones for teleconferencing, which are integrated with the touchscreen to use for conference calls.
For better audio in the room, we installed a new 70 Volt amplifier and connected it to the existing in-ceiling speakers.
Since conference rooms see intermittent use, we placed an occupancy sensor on the ceiling that controls the lights and turns them off when the room is vacant.
To conceal all of the necessary equipment, we installed a new cabinet rack with a new UPS power conditioner. The rack itself slides out to make servicing easier.
All of the upgrades reflected the customer's desire to keep a clean, minimalist look to the space.
