Side Track Restaurant

Lawton Haygood made his mark on the Chattanooga area's restaurant scene as the creator of Sugar's Ribs, the Boathouse Rotisserie & Raw Bar and Canyon Grill.

SideTrack opened in June at 3514 Hixson Pike near Lupton Drive. The location — next to a railroad track, which explains the SideTrack name.

SideTrack seats about 140 people, offers plenty of parking, and serves wine, liquor, bottled beer and food cooked by wood fire — a signature of Haygood's restaurants.

As with all restaurants, audio quality is of concern as it is a delicate balance between having quality sounding music and still being able to have a comfortable conversation.

Smart Systems carefully analyzed the plans and proposed table layouts to design an audio system that is easy for the staff to use, reliable and that sounds great.
