Interactive Help Desk Area
With Commercial Displays
About This Project
At first glance, a project like this reception area can look very simple. But it is deceptive. This area is an interactive help desk space that we got to help bring to life for a company. The two 86" screens are actually infrared touch displays. These screens have anti-reflective surfaces that make them useful as both signage as well as for use in presentations and meetings. The 7" control panels located next to the screens can control them, as well as control the 55" commercial display mounted from the ceiling in front of the column.
Not shown is the small equipment rack installed in a nearby workroom that houses the necessary electronics and control system processor and video switching system. There is also another 7" control panel in this room for source switching and adjusting the audio levels.
Because this is an open space that is adjacent to other lobby and office spaces, we installed three narrow dispersion speakers to provide audio to the space but minimize noise spillover to those other areas.
