Eyecare Chattanooga

Eyecare Chattanooga is a local Ophthalmology practice that needed our help to outfit the examination rooms with monitors for use in eye exams, security cameras for the common areas, networking, speakers, and a TV in the waiting area.

We installed 22" monitors on articulating mounts in each examination room that allow the doctor and techs the ability to forgo an older style eye chart, and instead use a digital version that makes it easier for both the doctor to determine the patient's vision. The doctor can easily increase or decrease the size of the image on the screen remotely, allowing for more accurate results. We also installed a 46" TV in the waiting area for patients to watch as they await their appointments.

The practice also needed security cameras for the lobby, back office, and front desk areas. We used Speco dome cameras with intensifier technology and verifocal lenses, and we installed a Speco 1 TB 4-Channel camera DVR to record the captured video.

For networking, we went with a Linksys RVS4000 gigabit security router, and we added a Cisco 8-Port PoE switch.

The practice also needed a speaker system, so we added six 70V speakers throughout the ceiling, and we then connected those to a Speco 30Watt amplifier.

All of the necessary equipment was housed centrally in a custom equipment rack located in one of the office's closets, keeping everything together for easy servicing, and keeping all equipment out of view from the staff and patients.
