Control4 Filled Integrated Home

This stylish home needed a series of upgrades, which we did primarily though Control4 equipment upgrades and programming updates. We also updated much of the audio and video equipment and integrated more functions of the house, like lighting.

For updates to the home's automation, we removed the older processors and replaced them with new Control4 EA-3 and EA-5 processors. These newer devices have built-in streaming services like Pandora and Rhapsody, among others. We also replaced an older control touchscreen with a new 10" Control4 in-wall, flush-mounted touchscreen, with enhanced features like video intercom capabilities. We also installed a new Control4 door station. The kitchen video intercom can easily communicate with the person at the front door station. In addition, at the garage entry doors, we replaced the existing deadbolts with touchscreen deadbolts.

We added whole home audio through the use of a Sonos sound system. We installed a Sonos Connect streaming media player and tied that to Sonos speakers throughout the home. Not pictured is the outdoor audio that we accomplished through landscape speakers installed around the hot tub that got connected to the new Control4 system.

For TVs, we replaced the ones in the living area and the guest bedroom with 4K UHD Sony Bravia TVs. We then replaced the video distribution system with a new Control4 HDMI distribution system that is an 8x8 video matrix, which allows for up to 8 TVs and 8 sources on the system at one time.

Finally, for the home's lighting, we replaced the existing non-LED compatible dimmers with LED-compatible Control4 dimmers and connected them to the Control4 automation system.

Many of the changes we made to upgrade this home's performance included simple swaps and involved minimal disruption to allow the home to perform more effectively and efficiently.
