Chambliss Law Firm

Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel is one of Chattanooga's largest law firms, and its new conference center occupies an entire floor: a combinable three-room conference suite, a dozen smaller conference rooms across four floors, lounges, a coffee bar, a service bar, and reception. Over roughly a thousand hours of labor, we built a system that lets every room run the same way, from the largest board meeting to a two-person call.

The centerpiece is Conference 703, three rooms that combine into one. It uses a Crestron 1 Beyond intelligent camera system, with an automated framing camera and two PTZ cameras that follow whoever is speaking, four Shure MXA920 ceiling array microphones, a Crestron Flex Microsoft Teams system, two Sony laser projectors on Da-Lite screens, and Shure wireless microphones. When the walls are open the three systems behave as one; when they close, each room is independent.

The standard conference rooms each carry a Sony commercial display, 75 or 85 inches by room size, a Yealink Teams video bar with expansion microphones, and a Crestron scheduling panel at the door that shows availability and books the room on the spot. Video moves over Just Add Power AV-over-IP, so any source can appear in any room or lounge. The work lounge has an 85-inch display and three 55-inch screens; the other lounges and the coffee bar carry their own displays, and the service bar has a Crestron touch panel.

At the head end, a Crestron CP4 processor, three DMPS3 switchers, Biamp Tesira DSPs, an Ashly eight-channel amplifier, an Autonomic music server, three Lutron HomeWorks lighting processors, Netgear AV switches, and IP-controlled power conditioning fill the rack. Sound masking keeps conversations private in the open areas. The firm's staff received three training sessions, and a technician was on site to test the system before the first event.
