For this audio and network upgrade, we utilized a combination of new Sonos and Ubiquiti products in conjunction with some equipment that the customer supplied.
Our client needed a strong network that would give stable coverage throughout the house. To achieve this, we installed a Ubiquiti Unifi 24 port managed switch and a Unifi security gateway. We then placed 5 long-range access points and an outdoor wireless access point to ensure continuous and reliable coverage throughout the home and outdoor living area.
The client also wanted upgraded sound for their TVs, so we installed Sonos Playbars in the master bedroom, the living room, and the lower den and game room. In the master, the soundbar was used as part of the 5.1 surround sound system. The customer already owned some speakers, so they supplied the necessary speakers to achieve surround sound.
Finally, we installed an equipment rack to allow for a neater, easily serviceable place that could house all of the networking devices, as well as other equipment that wasn't part of this upgrade, in one central location.
